First off I am rating the product NOT TG Watersports. For their part the item was shipped very quickly and was well packed. The instructions sheets that came with the seat kit were readable but they were copies and the pictures/diagrams were not very good. Old Town claims there are videos of the seat installation on line but I could not find any and I could not find a PDF of the instruction sheets. The most significant issue with the instruction was locating the position of the Angler seat. You are to measure 86", from the bow, on each gunwale and the front edge of the new seat should be located there. As such you can't just use a metal tape measure because, as you know, the gunwale is curved, if it wasn't you would have a jon boat. I used clamps to secure the tape measure to secure the tape to the boat. A better instruction would be to use the cane seat front holes as a position point and measure from there. that way the measurement would be between two or three inches and less room for error. It would make more sense to do the same with the position of the front thwart. Last issue, they were supposed to include a 26" front thwart that you were to use a template to cut down the front thwart (and consequently place it more forward toward the bow. Both thwarts will be 26". PROBLEM was the kit included a 29.25" thwart (same length as regular Pack front thwart). So I had to made do and adjust. I tried to contact Old Town and they were not particularly helpful. Perhaps I am complaining too much, but I wanted to do this right.
