    If you get a new seat, you need this support. The "old" round support won't fit the new seat.

    I ordered this to go along with the replacement seat for my Pelican canoe. The new one is way better than the original. it came with all the hardware needed to install. Including the old seat removal I was able to install in under 10 minutes.

    I purchased a front bench seat to replace the original plastic seat in a Pelican Dare Devil Ram-X 16' Canoe. This support was needed. I connected this seat support to the bench using the included hardware (i.e., four screws). The installation was relatively simple and the parts fit the canoe.
